Creating an accurate forecast of construction costs is critical to determining a precise return on investment. ARGUS Development Budget™ helps developers forecast these costs for existing and ongoing projects using a grid-type interface with database storage. With ARGUS Development Budget, developers can also keep track of their spending and forecast cash needs into the future.
Projects can be forecast weekly or monthly with the option to consolidate by any combination of periods. All data is stored in a central location so all approved users have access to the data and can update it at any time. Even better, forecast data can easily be transferred from an Excel spreadsheet, meaning that personnel without access to ARGUS Development Budget can fill in their forecasts using Excel and then move that data to ARGUS Development Budget.

Create your own attributes at the project and cost code levels of the program. Example attributes at the project level are: Project Type (Large retail, Medium retail, Small Retail, Office) and Location (Northwest US, Northeast US). An example of an attribute at the cost code level is cost type (Design, Construction, or Municipal). ARGUS Development Budget allows you to find out that design costs for large retail projects in the Northwest US average 14% of total costs. Setting up a proposed project in ARGUS Developer and bringing it into ARGUS Development Budget might show that design costs for the proposed project are 5% of total costs and you can see that you missed something. This finally closes the gap in the construction industry between project estimators and accounting - they can analyse completed projects any way they like.
