HOUSTON, TX, January 4, 2010 – ARGUS Software today announced that Lyn Garland has been promoted to the position of chief financial officer.

Given this and her impressive credentials, she was a natural choice to assume this key position within the executive team," said Mark Kingston, president and CEO of ARGUS Software.
Garland joined ARGUS Software in June 2007 to oversee worldwide finance, accounting, treasury and taxes. Prior to joining the company, Garland was a financial and business consultant at Exterran (formerly Universal Compression) from 2004 to 2007, where she led efforts in the company's Sarbanes Oxley implementation and ERP system migration.
Other important roles include positions as vice president and corporate controller of Pioneer Companies Inc and positions with responsibilities in SEC reporting and financial planning and analysis at Paracelsus Healthcare and Compaq Computer, respectively. Garland began her career at Arthur Andersen and is a CPA.
