ARGUS Valuation DCF

  • Introduction to ARGUS Valuation DCF and Initial Property Set-Up
    Get started using ARGUS Valuation DCF! This informative primer will show you how to log into ARGUS Valuation DCF and begin creating a new property model from scratch.
  • Understanding Revenues and Expenses
    This course will teach you how to input the necessary revenue and expense information for a property or portfolio in ARGUS Valuation DCF. The course deals with items like capital, operating, reimbursable and miscellaneous expenses.
  • Building the Rent Roll
    The list of tenants or rent roll is one of the most important data points in a financial model. This class provides specific instruction on how to enter tenant data, determine market leasing assumptions, and run informative reports based on tenant data.
  • Using the Yield Menu
    As you advance through your training, the course on using the Yield Menu in ARGUS Valuation DCF will be particularly helpful in including factors such as property purchase and resale, debt financing and present value discounting in your analysis.
  • Reports
    This course will introduce you to running reports and utilizing the different reporting capabilities such as exporting and basic graphing. You will learn about Property Level Reports, Tracking Reports, and Rent Roll Reports.
  • Graphs
    This course will review advanced reporting options. This course will also cover Marketing Leasing Assumptions reporting, Supporting Schedules, Input Assumptions, and Report Packages. In addition, more in depth graphing will be reviewed.
  • Building a Portfolio
    This course will explain how to create an ARGUS Valuation DCF portfolio and run consolidated reports. This course will also cover how to run scenarios across the portfolio adjusting assumptions such as market rents, inflation rates, and cap rates. In addition, learn how to model portfolio level debt and consolidate tenant cash flows.
  • Advanced Rent Roll
    This course will provide an understanding of the rent roll and how to model rental bumps, CPI, and step rent. This course also covers how to build categories to structure more complex Tenant Improvements, Leasing Commissions, and Rent Abatements. In addition, leasing up large blocks of space and creating tenant groups are explained in great detail.
  • Detailed Reimbursement Methods
    This course will explain how to model several reimbursement methods including Base Year, Net, Retail CAM pools, and Recovery Caps. This course also covers key reports including the Recovery Tracking report, The Reimbursement Detail report, and Scheduled Expense Reimbursement Revenue.

    This course provides an overview of ARGUS Developer and how to navigate in the program.
  • Timescale and Phasing
    This course covers best practices when building Timescale and Phasing. This course also includes how to Add, Delete and Copy phases as well as setting up event based timing.
  • The Definition Tab Unit Sales - This module will explain how to model units being developed and sold off within the Definition Tab of the ARGUS Developer program. Learn how to enter different units such as Condominiums and Apartments and their construction schedules.
  • The Definition Tab Capitalized Rent - This course illustrates how to model leases that are rented such as Office and Retail structures within the Definition Tab of the ARGUS Developer program. Learn how to model information such as Market Rent, Escalations and Tenant Improvements.

  • ARGUS Owner Rep
    This course will explain how to model and compare multiple lease scenarios from a financial perspective for a building, prepare and present multiple leasing scenarios, analyze rents, improvements, and other related tenant and building costs, determine the present value of leases, and generate detailed report packages.

    This course will explain how to model and compare the financial impact of a group of potential leases in detail for multiple buildings, prepare and present multiple leasing options, analyze tenant rents and their related costs, determine the present value of leases, and generate detailed reporting packages.
  • ARGUS Lease/Buy Analysis
    This course will explain how to model, analyze, and compare lease and building data in order to achieve multiple "lease" versus "buy" scenarios, determine the present value of leases, and generate detailed reports and report packages to support analysis conclusions.
