ARGUS Family Participates in Altus Month of Caring

In September 2015 the ARGUS family participated in the 2nd annual Altus Month of Caring by visiting the Ronald McDonald House – Houston.  The ARGUS family volunteers came together to plan, shop, prepare, cook, serve and clean-up for over 60 individuals as a part of the Family Meal Program.

The Ronald McDonald House – Houston offers a home away from home providing care, compassion and hope to families with seriously ill children being treated in the Texas Medical Center member institutions. The Family Meal Program allows families to sit down to a warm meal after a long day at the hospital for a moment of peace and comfort at the RMH Houston. Through the efforts of volunteers with big hearts and generous hands, the Ronald McDonald House provides at least one meal a day for families, 365 days a year!

This year’s menu consisted of salad, fruit medley, bacon mac & cheese, green beans, rice dressing, mashed potatoes, classic meatloaf, honey pecan baked fish, baked tilapia, lemon pepper chicken, grilled chicken, orzo vegetable soup, Hawaiian rolls and assorted desserts.

On behalf of Altus and ARGUS a special thanks goes out to John Mirrer, Stephen Collins, Heather Bailey, Diane Trim, Cezary Kulbicki, Cris Dizon, Alex Whitaker, Julian Martinez, Danielle White, Kim Hong, Saba Ghulum, Mia Marquez, Adriana Perez and Desiree Martin for sparing your precious time and thoughtfulness.

More importantly we would like to thank the Ronald McDonald House – Houston for allowing us the opportunity to participate in such a wonderful program.
